Gematrios

Gematiros are not meant to prove anything. Nor do we derive any new information from them (except when we have a kabalah from Har Sinai to that effect).

Gematrios are designed to reveal things we already know in different ways. They are called "flavoring for information" (parparos l'chachmah).
